Kirkpatrick organizes ‘Clothes For Comfort’ drive
Clark County Commissioner Marilyn Kirkpatrick is working towards helping kids who need clothing to get some new threads by organizing a donation drive during February.
“It is a great opportunity to make sure those that need clothes have them,” Kirkpatrick said.
For February Kirkpatrick’s office has been sponsoring the Clothes for Comfort Charity Drive, collecting clothes for needy children and adults.
“We are a very giving and generous community that always rises to meet the needs of our friends and neighbors, and I know we will do it again here,” Kirkpatrick said.
Donations of new or gently used clothes will be accepted from now until March 1 at local Clark County community centers, the Clark County Government Center in downtown Las Vegas, and County Harbor locations.
The donations will go to children through various groups and centers that often see children in need including Safe Nest TADC, The Harbor, the Clark County Family Services Department and community centers.
If donating gently used clothing, donors should make sure the clothes are clean, freshly laundered and free of stains. Donated socks and underwear must be new.
